A Blue Ridge Get-Away!

A visit to Virginia’s largest and only drive-thru zoo, Virginia Safari Park in Natural Bridge, VA.   On our private, one-hour wagon ride, see and feed animals such as camels, zebras, elk, llamas, bison, ostrich, deer, antelope – all roaming free on this 180-acre preserve.  After the tour stroll through the 10-acre Safari Village and browse the Safari Trading Post Gift Shop for unique souvenirs and gifts. The fun continues for lunch at the Pink Cadillac Diner, an authentic 1950’s diner with great food. You’ll find lots of Elvis memorabilia throughout the restaurant, including a pink Cadillac out front!  This afternoon, travel brings you to the historic and quaint town of Lexington, Virginia.  Enjoy a Guided, Riding Tour that includes driving through the campuses of VMI and Washington & Lee University.   See the historic residential district where your guide will share interesting information about the antebellum homes. Lexington has a wonderful cross-section of architectural styles from Cottage Gothic to Neo-Classical. Time permitting, stretch your legs in the downtown area, exploring the many specialty shops before departing for home.
