Marine’s Evening Parade
Patriotism is proudly displayed in the many Washington, D.C. memorials, but to feel and hear patriotism at its fullest, one must experience the Marine’s Evening Parade at the “Oldest Post of the Corps.” This proud tradition is considered one of the most dramatic in military celebrations in the United States. This year is a special year to see this as 2025 marks the Marine Corps 250th birthday! Founded on November 10, 1775, in Philadelphia, PA, the Marine have fought from the shores of Tripoli to the valleys of Afghanistan – always the most ready when the nation is least ready.
Before this remarkable evening performance, we will first travel to Arlington National Cemetery for an included tram ride. Stops include the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier to see the impressive “The Changing of the Guard”, President John F. Kennedy Gravesite, John J. Pershing Gravesite, and Arlington House. Dinner is included at Filomena's in the heart of Georgetown.
