Virginia Scenic Railroad

This new train tour out of Staunton was so popular for us last year that we are going back again – this time for their afternoon train which travels an entirely different route – called the Blue Ridge Flyer. Hosted by the Virginia Scenic Railroad, this 3 hour round trip train excursion heads east passing through the communities of Fishersville and Waynesboro and offers the thrilling experience of roaring through the Blue Ridge Tunnel, carved out of rock hundreds of feet below the mountain summit above. The train will turn around in Ivy in Albemarle County. Beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains are the hallmark of this journey.
