Christmas at the White House  – Washington, DC

 Visiting the White House in Washington, D.C. is a time-honored and treasured holiday tradition.  The custom of placing a decorated tree in the White House began in 1889 on Christmas morning during the Presidency of Benjamin Harrison. What began as a family gathering has become a national tradition.  Stroll through America’s most prestigious and honored house and experience firsthand, the beautiful trees and decorations of this holiday season.   After a morning at the White House and White House Visitor Center, lunch will be included at a popular area restaurant as well as an additional attraction in the afternoon.  Details will be announced once the date is finalized.  PLEASE NOTE:  For the best chance of seeing the White House, we recommend signing up immediately. $75 of tour cost is non-refundable if canceled after names have been submitted to the White House at the end of August. Once names are submitted there are no substitutions, additions or changes. Please, No Phone Calls. SignaTours will notify you immediately upon notification by the White House in late November. Again, Do Not Call for Dates. The White House makes all decisions on appointments. SignaTours has no say in the decision-making process. The White House Tour is a “Guaranteed Departure” and will run as planned. In the unlikely event, your tour is denied entry into the White House, an optional tour will be planned in its place, most likely a Tour of the United States Capitol.

Since 1922, The U.S. Army Band’s “Pershing’s Own” has maintained a tradition of excellence as one of the premier musical organizations of The United States Army.   From the battlefields of World War II to the historic events in our Nation’s Capital, the band has performed with honor and grace.   Today’s holiday concert highlights the U.S. Army Band’s “Pershing’s Own” and wonderful singers of the Army Chorus. Held at the beautiful DAR Constitution Hall in downtown DC, it is truly one of the best holiday concerts. Before the matinee performance, enjoy a delicious lunch at Carmine’s and time at the 15th Annual Downtown Holiday Market.  This event boasts one of the most spectacular outdoor shopping environments in the region. Located in front of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, this market features more than 150 regional artisans and crafters – the perfect opportunity to find that special gift!

100 Miles of Holiday Lights

Tuesday – December 10, 2019

Celebrate the Holiday season with the most popular light tours in Virginia! The first afternoon stop is at the Yankee Candle Factory Outlet in Williamsburg to pick out some wonderful treasures. Then it’s off to the Portsmouth Art and Cultural Center for Winter Wonderland: The Coleman Collection. See two floors of displays that showcase classic animated dolls and figurines.  Find Victorian skaters and carolers, enchanted forests, and Santa’s workshop, candy store, and a bakery.  Fascinating!   Next, travel to Virginia Beach for an early dinner at Rockafeller’s Restaurantfollowed by a drive along the boardwalk for a Holiday Lights Display on the Beach.   En route home, experience Newport News Celebration in Lights, Virginia’s first drive-through holiday lights event with over a half million individual lights. Upon returning to Richmond, see the city’s most famous holiday lights display at downtown’s James Center.

Come and experience the splendor of Christmas as the Thomas Road Baptist Church Ministry in Lynchburg, Virginia, presents their annual Virginia Christmas Spectacular.  Enjoy favorite Christmas songs and the wonderful message about the true meaning of Christmas. Now in its 49th year, this show has become central Virginia’s most popular holiday show. Prior to the show, there is a special opportunity Purchase a P. Buckley Moss print in her Waynesboro gallery and then travel a short distance to her home, “The Barn,” to meet her and get the print signed!  P. Buckley Moss’ works have been acclaimed for their simplistic and yet symbolic styles reflecting her strong beliefs in Christianity. (If you already own a framed print – bring it and she will sign the glass with a special pen.) Travel south toward Lynchburg for a delicious family-style lunch at the Spring House Restaurant before the matinee show begins.

A Fantasy of Lights Tour

131st Annual Tournament of Roses Parade
2019 – 2020

Join us on our annual California Rose Parade Tour! Accommodations this year are at the luxurious Hotel Irvine. Following arrival and check-in, meet your fellow travelers for a Welcome Dinner at the hotel. In the morning, enjoy Breakfast, before departure for a Rose Parade Float Decorating Tour to see the finishing touches put on the Parade Floats. Afterward, travel to Beverly Hills for Lunch at the famous Lawry’s Prime Rib Restaurant and a visit to Santa Monica Beach. This evening is at your leisure with free shuttle service to the Irvine Spectrum. Breakfast once again begins your next day and is followed by your choice of one of the following tours… Warner Brothers Studios Tour and Hollywood City Tour or Catalina Island or Ronald Regan Presidential Library. This evening’s “New Year’s Eve Gala Celebration Party” is complete with dining and a live band, a “Monte Carlo” style casino with dancing, party favors, casino fun and a champagne toast to ring in a Happy New Year!
