Biltmore Holiday Classic – Asheville, North Carolina
November 29 – December 1, 2018

biltmoreTucked away in between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Great Smokey Mountains, is Asheville, NC, locally known as “The Land in the Sky”.  What better time to visit this beautiful area than during the annual Christmas Celebration at the Biltmore.  This delightful package includes a visit to the Southern Highland Craft Guild at the Folk Art Center on the Blue Ridge Parkway. You’ll find high-quality arts and crafts created by the mountain craftspeople.  Dinner your first evening will be at the elegant Omni Grove Park Inn. Here you will enjoy a guided tour of the resort featuring a remarkable display of Gingerbread Houses.  Your second day provides an insider’s view of the marvelous city with a guide who is also the author of the “Insider’s Guide to the North Carolina Mountains”.  The tour includes a visit to the amazing Basilica of St. Lawrence and lunch on your own at the Grove Arcade, one of the city’s architectural jewels.  The afternoon features the awe-inspiring Biltmore Mansion and Estate.  The Biltmore House is magical when adorned for the holidays, complete with 55 elaborate hand-decorated trees including the favorite 35-ft. live Fraser fir in the Banquet Hall, as well as a thousand poinsettias and miles of garland and live music. This year’s theme is “A Vanderbilt Christmas” with a strong Gilded Age feel. And there’s much more to see and do throughout the estate. Join us on our annual California Rose Parade Tour!  Accommodations this year are at the luxurious Hotel Irvine.  Following arrival and check-in, meet your fellow travelers for a Welcome Dinner at the hotel.  In the morning, enjoy Breakfast, before departing for your choice of one of the following tours . . .  Rose Parade Float Decorating Tour with Lunch and the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens or the Ronald Regan Presidential Library with Luncheon in the Air Force One Pavilion.
