Scout and her brother, Jem, live with their widowed father, lawyer Atticus Finch, in a sleepy Alabama town during the Great Depression. It’s a simpler time, the children play outside, act out stories and muse about their mysterious neighbor, Boo Radley. The facade of the seemingly peaceful town begins to crack when a young black man is accused of a terrible crime. This timeless story explores prejudice, compassion and the courage to do what is right. It is based on the Pulitzer Prize winning 1960 novel that was also turned into a movie classic starring Gregory Peck.

The National Zoological Park, commonly known as the National Zoo, is one of the oldest zoos in the U.S. and is also part of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington D.C. There is a good chance you saw this heartwarming story on the National news, but in January of this year, after nearly a year without Giant Pandas, the Zoo is welcoming two brand-new arrivals – Bao Li and Qing Bao! These cute and cuddly icons are sure to capture the hearts of Washingtonians and visitors worldwide, embodying the spirit of cultural collaboration and international diplomacy at the heart of the nation's capital.
Our interest in Panadas originates with First Lady Patricia Nixon’s mention of her fondness for the cute creatures while at a dinner with Chinese Premier Zhou Entai in Beijing in February 1972. After the historic presidential visit, Premier Entai gifted two giant pandas to the American people as a gesture of goodwill. While the pandas are a major attraction, they are just two of the 1,500-plus animals that call the 163-acre Zoo their home. 25% of the zoo’s residents are endangered. So put on your walking shoes and come join SignaTours as we enjoy a day of “cuteness” at the National Zoo! Lunch voucher will be included during your visit.

Tangier Island is a remote Virginia island only accessible by air or boat, 12 miles out in the Chesapeake Bay. All Virginian should visit Tangier Island at least once (or two or three times for the delicious seafood!).
